What does "uncomfortable" mean? Jason Garrett now says he would be open to bringing in a play caller

One day after the Dallas Cowboys' season-ending loss to the Washington Redskins, coach Jason Garrett shot down all talk of his possibly giving up play-calling duties next season.

That was on Monday.

Now on Thursday — a day after a bristling owner Jerry Jones said it would be an "uncomfortable" few weeks at the team’s Valley Ranch headquarters and changes were coming in how the Cowboys did things after going 8-8 for a second straight season — Garrett says he will be open to anything that helps the team succeed.

“We would just talk it through,” Garrett said on KRLD/105.3 FM radio when asked what he would do if Jones asked him to bring in a play-caller.

“Line 1 for me and the position that I’m in is what is best for the Dallas Cowboys — in every way, shape and form and however we’re doing anything. Everything is on the table. If we think collectively that something can help us and doing something differently than what we’re doing now is going to make us a better football team I’m open to it.

"And I’ve made no bones about that from the beginning. I just believe in that. I believe in that from the bottom of my heart. I’m trying to help this football team be the best it can be and everything is on the table.”

If the Cowboys bring in another offensive coordinator/play-caller, former Chargers coach Norv Turner would seemingly be a primary option. Turner is a former Cowboys offensive coordinator who called plays for the Super Bowl title teams in 1992 and 1993.

Garrett was a backup quarterback on the 1993 team and the two have a similar offensive philosophy.

Of course Jason is going to be open to whatever his "daddy" tells him to be open to. Play-calling? Sounds like Jerry, er, daddy will be taking that part over. Somebody help us!!!

OC tendencies have proven to be good, but not good enough when it counts. He's limited by his OC philosophy, a system's coach who attacks defensive weaknesses, but not willing to deviate from his system/strategies to exploit player's individual talents/strenghts or in-game opportunities that work http://www.yazsana.net/iphone-oyunlari/iphone-survival-instinct-oyunu-718.html

Absolutely an OC for running the offense will be hired. Garrett will be the walk-around coach. Garrett's strengths better fit as a strong leader that has purpose and direction and will be very effective. His OC tendencies have proven to be good, but not good enough when it counts.
