Attention: Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne to host free football camp in South Dallas

Less than a week before he heads to training camp with the Dallas Cowboys, cornerback Morris Claiborne is hosting a free football camp for kids in South Dallas.

The Morris Claiborne Foundation Football Camp is a Saturday July 13 at William Blair Park, 3000 Municipal Street. Check in is at 9 a.m. and the camp runs from 10 am. until 3 pm.

Claiborne does a similar camp in his hometown of Shreveport, La, and wanted to do the same in Dallas.

“The camp is a great opportunity to give back to the community,” Claiborne said. “I want to make sure that kids can come out and learn and have fun and enjoy themselves.”

Claiborne will be joined by some of Cowboys teammates as well as former college teammates at LSU as they teach the fundamentals of the game. The one-day, non-contact camp is open for boys ages 8-17.
