Bernadeau, Ratliff start on PUP; Livings on non-football injury list

The Cowboys have placed offensive guard Mackenzy Bernadeau and defensive tackle Jay Ratliff will begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list. Offensive guard Nate Livings starts on the active/non-football injury list.

Livings has a foot injury. Bernadeau had shoulder surgery in the offseason, but he went on PUP with a hamstring injury. Ratliff injured his hamstring during the conditioning test. Ratliff played only six games last season because of injuries, including a sports hernia.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Saturday, before the team's conditioning test, that he expected Livings, long snapper LP Ladouceur (calf) and guard Ronald Leary (calf) to be the only players unavailable for today's first practice.

But the Cowboys also added center/guard Ryan Cook, tackle Demetress Bell and receiver Lavasier Tuinei to the active/non-football injury list.

Bell, Tuinei and quarterback Alex Tanney were signed to the roster to fill three of the team's open roster spots. Bell has played five NFL seasons -- four with the Bills and last year with the Eagles.
