Bailey says 50-yard field goal try didn't feel right from the start

Kicker Dan Bailey said his 50-yard field goal try just didn’t feel right, that something about it was off.

“Honestly, I’d have to go back and look at it, but just from the start, it was just bad,” he said. “Something not right. Had to call a timeout. And then, just the whole operation, just really wasn’t right. I’ll have to look at it and see what happened.”

But, basically, Bailey said, “I just missed it.”

He offered a shrug.

“When something happens like that, you’ve got to make sure you go out and make the next kick,” he said. “We got a chance to make the next one, and we did.”

Bailey is 5-for-9 in his career during the regular season from 50-plus.
