Practice report: Cowboys still without four offensive guards, but no new additions

The Cowboys were missing four offensive guards as practice began Tuesday. They had no one return to practice, but no new additions either.

Guards Mackenzy Bernadeau (ankle), Ryan Cook (back), Nate Livings (knee) and Ron Leary (knee) continue to rehab. Running back Lance Dunbar (foot) was the only other player from the offense not at practice.

On defense, linebacker Brandon Magee (concussion), safety Matt Johnson (foot), safety Eric Frampton (calf), safety Danny McCray (hamstring), defensive endAnthony Spencer (knee), defensive tackle Jason Hatcher (groin) and defensive tackle Jay Ratliff (groin/hamstring) were rehabbing.

Hatcher said Monday that he is not concerned about being ready for the season opener. He felt tightness early during the preseason game against the Bengals on Saturday and stayed in.

“I’m feeling good, man,” Hatcher said. “Just being smart about it. Get ready for New York. Take a few days off and let it calm down a little bit.”

The team will make roster cuts today to reach 75. Defensive end Tyrone Crawford will go on injured reserve with a torn Achilles' tendon, leaving Dallas with 11 moves to make.

Final roster cuts to 53 are Saturday.
