Mo Claiborne says he still got a little winded in practice this week, but he's good for the game

Cornerback Morris Claiborne said he still got winded this week in practice, but he feels ready to play Sunday despite missing four weeks and all the preseason games with a knee injury.

“I feel good. I feel ready. I feel ready to play,” he said. “Anxious just because I haven’t been out there, haven’t been in preseason. So really looking forward to this.”

Claiborne was asked how many more reps than normal he took in practice this week as he aimed to get ready.

“A lot,” he said with a laugh.

There was scout team work, too.

“I only did a little bit on the scout team, probably like two or three reps,” he said. “We normally sub in and out with the 1s, but mainly, I was staying in and getting all the reps with the 1s.”

Overall, Claiborne got a good feeling from the practice week.

“It went good,” he said. “I picked up where I left off. Little winded here from time to time, but I expect that from all the reps I’ve been taking.”
