Linebacker Anthony Spencer is in pads for the first time since undergoing knee surgery July 25. Spencer was wearing a leg brace. He said he hopes to play against the Chiefs on Sunday after missing the season opener against the Giants.
Quarterback Tony Romo (ribs) and receiver Dez Bryant (foot) were on the field during the portion of practice open to the media. Bryant didn't appear to have any trouble running, but he could be limited as a precaution.
Romo said Monday he would not wear any extra padding this week other than the normal rib pads.
Cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder) was on the practice field but could be limited today. He will wear a harness on his dislocated left shoulder. Safety Danny McCray (hamstring) and running back Lance Dunbar (foot) returned to practice after missing Sunday's opener.
Offensive guard Brian Waters, signed last week, still was practicing with the second team. He was inactive for Sunday's game while trying to get up to speed with the offense and in game shape. Waters has not played since 2011 when he was with New England.
