Cowboys notes: Dwayne Harris' 222 combined yards is fourth-most in team history

Here are notes compiled by the Cowboys' public relations department:

In catching five passes for 36 yards, Dez Bryant now has 234 career receptions to pass Herschel Walker (232) for 16th in team history.

Dwayne Harris had an 86-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter tonight. It was the fifth-longest punt return in club history and the second return for a touchdown in his career. His previous return for a score was a 78-yarder – at Philadelphia, 11/11/12:

Harris finished the game with 109 punt return yards – the seventh-most in a game in team history and the most since Patrick Crayton had 116 against Seattle (11/1/09).

Harris now has 623 career punt return yards to pass Reggie Swinton (555) and Gary Allen (599) for ninth all-time in franchise history.

Harris also had a 90-yard kickoff return in the third quarter to tie the 10th-longest kickoff return in club history. His is only the third 90-or-more yard return that did not result in a touchdown. The first was James Dixon’s 90-yarder at Green Bay (10/8/89) and the other was Jason Tucker’s 90-yarder at the N.Y. Giants (10/15/00).

Harris finished tonight’s game with 222 combined return yards – the fourth-most in a game in team history:

Jason Hatcher had two sacks tonight for his second career multi-sack game. He now has 21 career sacks to pass Bill Bates (18), Lee Roy Jordan (18.5), Anthony Dickerson and Jimmie Jones (19) and tie Mike Hegman for 21st all-time in franchise history.

DeMarco Murray rushed seven times for 19 yards and a touchdown today to give him 416 career carries and move him past Roger Staubach (410) for 15th on the club’s all-time rushing attempts chart.

Joseph Randle saw his first career action on offense tonight in place of Murray (knee) and rushed 11 times for 17 yards with his first career touchdown.

Tony Romo finished today’s game completing 18-of-30 (60.0%) passes for 170 yards, one touchdown and one interception with a 72.9 quarterback rating. With his 506 yards from last week, Romo’s two-game total of 676 yards is the 15th-most over a two-game span, following a 500-yard outing:

Romo has now attempted 3,458 passes for his career to pass Bob Griese (3,429), Brian Sipe (3,439) and Steve Bartkowski (3,456) for 65th all-time in NFL history.

Romo’s touchdown toss today gave him at least one in each of the previous 19 games - the second-longest streak in team history. He owns the record with 20 from 2009-11.

Orlando Scandrick intercepted his fourth career pass tonight.

Kyle Wilber had his second career sack tonight. On the sack, he forced and recovered a fumble for the first forced and recovered fumble of his career.

Jason Witten caught three balls for 27 yards tonight and now has 9,288 receiving yards and passed Raymond Berry (9,275) for 45th on the NFL’s all-time receiving yards chart.
