DeMarcus Ware has never missed a game, playing through various injuries to appear in all 134 possible games. He has played through a back injury and stingers this season.
But he won't be playing through a quad strain.
"If I go out there this time, it wouldn’t be 100 percent," Ware said Monday. "if I tried to go out there and play right now, it wouldn’t even be. No question. There wouldn’t be a point. To this day, if I had to play, I wouldn’t.I wouldn’t even be able to get off the ball like I should."
Ware has a quad strain and is doubtful to play against the Eagles this week. Though he could miss a few games, he is hopeful of getting back sooner.
"I don’t think so," Ware said. "I just know that my body recovers really fast. I’m not going to be out that long."
Ware was injured on the second play of the game when Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III scrambled for 15 yards. He played only 16 plays.
"I was running, and when I tried to lunge and make a tackle, my knee hit the ground, and I probably tweaked something in there," Ware said. "It was like the second play of the game when RG3 took off around the corner right there. From that point on...."
Kyle Wilber had a sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery of Griffin after replacing Ware.
