Practice report: Brandon Carr not out for the start of practice while battling an illness

Cornerback Brandon Carr (sick) was not at practice again Friday. He also missed Thursday's practice. The Cowboys had only three cornerbacks at practice with Morris Claiborne (hamstring) also out.

"He's here in the building," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said just before practice. "He was sick yesterday, so we sent him home. There are a few people in the building that were sick. We just wanted to make sure he got a chance to rest and come on back and keep him away from everybody else. He's here today, and we'll see what he's able to do."

Receiver Terrance Williams (hamstring) returned to practice after missing Wednesday and Thursday.

The Cowboys were without receiver Dwayne Harris (hamstring), linebacker Sean Lee (neck) and Ernie Sims (groin).
