Maybe it's because the Ducks are always a threat that I always forget this: The Stars are 5-1 against said Ducks this season. They've played some of their best games against them. And on a night where Teemu Selanne's return could've bolstered a big home victory, the Stars took this one away from them.
Well, the Ducks gave them a few power-play chances. And to see the Stars get three of five is pretty nice. Don't need to let those, especially the 5 on 3s, go by the wayside against this group. Kudos to all, especially Stephane Robidas. The guy's been the guts of this group for a while now. He's doing everything he's been asked to do, and scoring a few goals on top of that. Not bad for a guy who couldn't get one goal last season.
The Stars have now won eight of nine. Now I know what you're going to say: Hey, Detroit's in town on Sunday. Yes, I know this is always a thorn in the Stars' side. They should pretend they're the Ducks or something. Or they should use the momentum they got off this one and remember they'll be in their building again on Sunday.
