That could describe a few things. That last goal, definitely. This latest losing streak, definitely.
This whole mess, definitely.
I don't know what's gone so wrong this month. Tonight there were several problems. No power play against a team you've scored so many power-play goals against this season. Bad penalties (sorry, there were bad ones on both sides. Just be careful). And a terrible goal at the end.
The Stars' third periods are still bad, since that's where they continue to find ways to get all befuddled and fall apart (whether it's one person or several). I just don't know what to think right now, folks. It's games like these that make you feel jaded, make you wonder if you're just getting ready to cover another first-round loss. I'm hoping against hope that's not the case. But this team has to get better fast.
Oh, and some good news: Sergei Zubov will be skating tomorrow. Can't get him back fast enough right now.
Last night lost shows the areas Stars have to work on and improve...
Don't blame it on goaltending ...Turco is not he best , but is at the level of a top NHL team...Better support goalies, they'll be there 'till last game...
We lost lately because our main weapon, our offensive power, was ineffective...
So coach, IMHO , must stop beleiving he can build 3 "can score" lines and 2 "balanced" PP units.... Has to regroup off power...practice a lot PP patterns... use def players on PK , double-shifting off players when possible and necessary....
Time is not to please everyone...but really do what's logical to WIN...
And refereing cost us at least one point in standings last night...Possible Morrow deserved the call....but the same wasn't just before in D zone....and many others... "Off the record" coach and experienced players could tell you more on that "late call"...cause there is reasons...They all have to shut it up, specially in the media... could be worse later...Refs are a powerfull clique, that can hurt you so much if you blame them or even challenge them ...
So the way to retaliate to intimidating teams like Ducks, not shy to take penalties.... is an offensive threat completed with a killer PP.....
If there is Tracey... you could have to delayed your early summer vacations...!!!!
