Hey folks,
For those listening in, I'll give a quick synopsis tonight. Keep in mind my disclaimer: On some of these items, I'm just going by the radio broadcast. This isn't easy when you're not seeing it for yourself.
The Stars have their curmudgeon lineup working tonight, with guys like Steve Ott, Sean Avery and Krys Barch in there ready to tussle. Actually, Ott's already out after a minor, a 10-minute misconduct and a game misconduct. Avery took a roughing and unsportsmanlike in a penalty-riddled first period for the Stars.
The Blackhawks have two goals, both coming on the power play. The first took all of 15 seconds (Jonathan Toews, although the radio folks say it hit Garrett Stafford's skate), and the second (Patrick Sharp) came on a 5-on-3. The Stars also scored, with Matt Niskanen's shot getting through (what sounded like) a lot of bodies.
It's just going to be a scrappy game for the Stars tonight, with many of the big guns out (that includes Mike Modano, Brad Richards, Jere Lehtinen and Brenden Morrow). We'll keep an ear out for whatever else happens.
