Just wrapping up a few things:
**James Neal was very impressive in this one tonight. He had a couple good scoring chances, but he was just solid with and without the puck. Great work, and certainly a head-turning night for him.
**Same goes for Fabian Brunnstrom. Good puck-handling (Brenden Morrow commented on how it's difficult to push him off the puck) and just looked comfortable out there. How would you like to be one of the new kids playing with Brenden Morrow and Mike Ribeiro in your preseason debut?
**Sean Avery was showing Ribeiro-esque moves a few times tonight (slipping through a few Avs toward the net, a behind-the-back shot on goal). I know, he's here to be physical and a pain in the neck to all opponents. But a little offense and those moves won't hurt.
**The Stars signed Trevor Ludwig and Guillaume Monast to entry-level contracts (3 years for Ludwing, 2 for Monast).
OK, back to the young kids. The depth at forward for the Stars is officially tremendous, and coaches have to be licking their chops at the possibilities. The Stars will be cutting a few more (probably telling some of these guys tonight, with it becoming official tomorrow) as they get the roster into the 30s.
So for anyone who's been watching the last week, whaddya think so far?
