Sergei Zubov underwent an arthroscopic hip procedure on Thursday and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Coach Dave Tippett said he could be out a little longer than that, but that would still have him returning about two or so weeks into the regular season. Apparently, this is something that flared up recently during Zubov's workouts, and it's not related to the sports hernia he suffered last season. So Zubov is getting it taken care of now, while it's minor, before it gets worse.
Tippett said findings after the procedure were, "better than expected," so it's not a big oh-no for the season or anything.
Also, Philippe Boucher is day-to-day with a sore foot; may just be a byproduct of a lot of training. Boucher's been out there a lot the past few weeks after missing so much last season.
Anyway, that's the update on two of the Stars' D. Guess this is just what you see more often when players get a little older. We'll get things started tomorrow. Oh, and be on the lookout on here tomorrow. I'm doing something a little different here this season :)

Tracy, do you have any info on the HD tv schedule?
Looking forward to your training camp blogging.
