OK, I've been down this road before so I'm going to be careful with my praise. It was a better night for the Stars, who got plenty out of their top line of Morrow-Ribeiro-Eriksson. They cleaned up a few things, looked better on the penalty kill and were much more responsible with the puck and with helping each other out instead of getting in each other's way.
That being said, it's one game. They did this on Monday night, and then took absolutely nothing out of it into New Jersey. So that's what the Stars' goal is now: Do something with this. Get on a roll instead of a skid. Stay smart, remember that this team is capable of doing this more than one night in a row.
If nothing else, the Stars will have a pleasant trip home this evening. They'll take tomorrow off and be back at it Saturday morning for the Alex Ovechkin show. I know I'll be there.
