Um, wow.
Fabian Brunnstrom tallies a hat trick (that's right, a hat trick) in his NHL debut, thanks to another drive at the net and paydirt. I know it's only his first game, but this is what we were all waiting to see. What was the hype around this kid. Well, game 1, he's looked great.
He is the third player in NHL to tally a hat trick in his NHL debut. The other two were Alex Smart of Montreal on Jan. 14, 1943, and Real Cloutier of Quebec on Oct. 10, 1979.
Stars lead 5-4 with less than three minutes remaining. As I said before, wow.

"Now the thing we all have to realize is this kid isn't going to just go out there and score three goals a night."
Tracey, I'd like to respectfully request that, before every game, you work into your writing - "Now the thing we have to realize is this team is not going to win every game"....your mojo is mellifluous indeed!
