Just a few things from this morning in Nashville...
Marty Turco starts again tonight against the Predators.
Can the Stars take advantage of the power play tonight against this team? The Preds gave up goals on four of St. Louis' six power-play chances on Friday night.
I mention the power play, because I'm curious what happens when all the nastiness hits the ice tonight (Jordin Tootoo, Avery, Ott, Barch, oh my).
Mike Modano was very impressed with James Neal's showing on Friday. Said he liked how Neal kept it simple, never tried to do too much and was just calm as can be. I asked Mo if he was that same calm, cool kid in his NHL debut. I got a smile and a "no."
Wondering out loud if there will be line changes. Curious, especially about the top line. I love Steve Ott, but I'm not sure that fit with Morrow and Ribeiro is best. But with Lehtinen out, and only a few guys who can play the right wing, there aren't a ton of options. I need to remind myself of my title last night (only one game).
Well, we'll see how Game 2 treats the boys in a bit. Remember, kids, it's a 7 p.m. start. I'll be on this blog tonight, not the live one.
