It wouldn't be a Stars game if there wasn't some intrigue, right? Martin Erat's did-he-or-didn't-he goal ends up counting, so we're tied with about 11-plus remaining in this one. It was hard to tell on the replay if it actually crossed the line. But once the official ruled it a goal on the ice (and he was pointing into the net as soon as the play stopped), it was going to be hard to overrule this one.
Anyway, it's tied 4-4, and my kingdom for some defense. Any defense.

Will a little offense do? Hat trick. Kids looking good.

Tracey do they have to prove the official on the ice wrong or do they just have to prove that the puck did or did not cross the line?

Brent,
I'm guessing this is much like the NFL replay: You start with the call made on the ice/field. With this particular one, the official pointed to the net first before waving his hands, so the replay was probably looking for evidence to overturn the goal. With nothing very conclusive on the replay, you can't take the goal away.
