We're getting to that point, kids, where some of the kids may be going elsewhere. The Stars have to be down to 23 (or 22) by Wednesday, and coach Dave Tippett said he would be chatting with the GMs today. Whether that means decisions are made today or tomorrow, we'll see.
Anyway, here's the hard part: You've got James Neal and Fabian Brunnstrom who have been very good, and if it comes down to a choice, who do you choose? Chris Conner's been pretty good recently, but I'm guessing he could be reassigned. B.J. Crombeen, as I've said before, would have to go through waivers if he were to go down, so that's highly unlikely. Keep in mind it's about finding the right fits for your roster and making sure everything fits under the cap. Hmmmm....
Otherwise, normal day out in StarsLand. Sean Avery was back, apparently still a little under the weather. Jere Lehtinen was not out there; Tippett said this groin issue of Lehtinen's shouldn't keep him out of the season opener on Friday. Everything else is hunky-dory (can't believe I just wrote that).
So here are the line combos for today:
Morrow-Ribeiro-Conner
Lunqvist-Richards-Eriksson
Ott-Modano-Avery
Neal-Petersen-Crombeen
Barch-Brunnstrom
Anyway, we'll see if anything shakes out today.

I'm little behind on my reading, just read you piece on Robi. Great stuff!
I think Crombeen will stay with Neal coming back up very soon.
