Dallas Stars forward Joel Lundqvist will miss four to six weeks with a shoulder injury, Stars coach Dave Tippett said.
Lundqvist has been in a sling since Saturday's 6-5 overtime loss to Washington. Tippett said the plan isn't to call up anybody from the minors just yet. He said he'll see how things go against Minnesota.
If there is a silver lining to this--and the Stars could use any good news--is that Steve Ott is ready and can slide into Lundqvist's spot. Ott has been out with a groin injury, but has been pushing it in practice and is slated to go Wednesday.
Tippett also said Jere Lehtinen will attempt to get on the ice Wednesday.
