The Stars were back in Frisco this morning, with two guys not out there. Mike Ribeiro has an undisclosed injury that kept him out, although Dave Tippett said he could practice again today. So we'll see. If it was serious, I think we would've heard more, regardless of the NHL's new guideline of keeping hush-hush on hurts.
Jere Lehtinen skated on his own today, and he could practice tomorrow. Once again, we'll see.
I talked with Brad Richards about the team today, and I think he said it best: "This is a slap in the face to realize where we're at." Indeed, despite it only being two games, this could end up being a good wakeup call for this team. We're hearing a lot about how the Stars need to work together. That includes the special teams, which have been rough dating back to the preseason. So we'll see if this group can get a little more cohesive in the next bunch of games.
Aah, Mondays.

In your Tuesday article, "Special teams not so special early", Morrow said what a lot of us have been thinking and saying, this year and last. JUST SHOOT THE PUCK.
