Well, sort of, anyway. The Stars were down quite a few bodies at their Duncanville practice, so it looked more like an optional (even though it wasn't).
Philippe Boucher was out with a lower-body injury. Ditto for Brad Richards. Both should be fine, though, and Dave Tippett expected at least Boucher back for Wednesday practice. Sergei Zubov wasn't out there, and didn't skate in Frisco, either. Jere Lehtinen did skate in Frisco. Mike Modano was just not on the ice; but he's just fine.
Steve Ott, meanwhile, was talking about his hit on Stephane Yelle on Saturday in Boston. the Beantown scribes are still talking about it two days later. Ott was a bit angry at the brouhaha:
"It was a hip check," he said. "So guys can't hit anymore?"
Apparently the NHL thought it the same way, since we've heard a big bag of nothin' from them.
I'll have another post regarding Mr. Brenden Morrow in a second. He had some great things to say today.

Otter,
Hip checks are soooo very hip.
Your critics? Obviously square.
