The Stars got a little messy at the end there (probably shouldn't be 2-1 right now, and that goal gave the Ducks a ton of energy and woke this crowd up). But it was still a pretty good 20 minutes for the boys. They'll pick up the second period with 1:17 remaining on the power play, thanks to the Chris Kunitz boarding on Sean Avery in the corner. Avery was down for a few moments, then got up and off the ice on his own power. We'll see how he is, or if he returns.
Otherwise, the Stars could help themselves with another power play goal to start the second. They're looking much calmer tonight (well, outside of those minutes immediately after the Ducks goal), and they need to get back to that because this place was DEAD for the first 17 minutes of the game.
