Is he in or not? That's our burning question. Although we've asked it so often these past few weeks it's more like a smoldering, nothing-but-ash-remaining question. Sorry, I have to kid about this because it has been our No. 1 or 2 question for at least 2 weeks now. And we still don't know the answer!
Anyway, the good news: Jere Lehtinen was out there for a full practice, and looked just fine (he looked just fine in the morning skate in Anaheim, too). I asked him after practice, and he said, "I'm close." Coach Dave Tippett said they'll see how he looks and feels at tomorrow's morning skate, but methinks this will be the return of Mr. Lehtinen. He was, by the way, on a line with Brenden Morrow and Mike Ribeiro today... you remember the damage that group has done, eh?
Otherwise, nothing out of the ordinary at practice. Everyone's healthy, relatively jovial. Good times. OK, gotta get stuff done so I can enjoy a night on the beach. By the way, thanks to those of you who had recommendations for San Francisco. For those who actually care, had a little brunch at Zazie in Cole Valley. Very, very good.

So that's what they call it now?
Cole Valley?
I guess Frisco couldn't stand calling any part of itself The Haight.
Just dripping with irony..... and patchouli oil, no?

Tracy,
With the "eventual return of Lehtinen to the Ribiero line(great!), There is some talk on blogs that Avery will be demoted to a 4th line, and Brunstrum may play with Modano and Parish...two questions:1.
Wouldn't the maybe, "new" Modano line be vulnerable defensively and lacking physicality?...2. Would this nonsensical move(in my opinion) reinforce the thought that Avery is not fitting in well with teammates?
