Barry Melrose is already out as head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Already. Gotta be kiddin'. Associate head coach Rick Tocchet, is the interim head coach.
OK, part of me wants to just laugh like I've never laughed before at this. The Lightning did more movement than anyone this summer, be it their new owners, their new GM, their host of new players, all of it. Keep in mind that the Bolts were the worst team in the league last season, and they were starting anew this season. Apparently, starting anew means starting as close to perfect as possible. That was the expectations of a team with eight players who are 25 years or younger.
Hello, quick trigger.

With as many moves as that team made I can't see how it's even remotely possible that they have any sort of chemistry. It seemed as if the Owners/GM were treating the team more like a video game than a professional sports franchise.

Speaking for the AARP crowd:
Barry,
Let young dynamic management deal with young dynamic youth.....You should have talked to Parcells before you accepted the job...You are great with hockey analysis on national TV, please return!!!!!
