Sounds like this one is a go, pending on NHL approval but I can't imagine why it would be nixed.
For Sydor, he would be returning to the team that it sounded like he wanted to stay with in the summer of 2007. Remember when Sydor said he didn't even get a call back from then-GM Doug Armstrong regarding any possible contract talks?
Anyway, he could be on his way back after all.

I'm not going to say that this deal really excites me. It's like trading your grey '99 Ford pickup for a charcoal one.
The benefit is that Sydor will be motivated playing in Dallas, and bringing in a motivated player can't possibly hurt.
Secondly, we all know and have been openly discussing how a "change" was made at this point last year, and that perhaps that a change or maybe changes will be what catapults us out of our funk.
Change for change's sake is not always a good thing. Proper change is what works. Proper change is what we need... Change, for change's sake does not guarantee that the change will solve the problem(s).
On the other hand, when you've got nothing to lose you've got a mandate to change don't you?
I'm getting dizzy from all this change. The audacity of JackHull to change so much is causing me to lose hope in this Stars team.
Pass the Dramamine please.
