By the way, that was Kris Versteeg on that crossbar shot for the Blackhawks moments before Morrow's goal. I still want someone to tell me why a shot that hits the post or crossbar doesn't count as a shot on goal. Ah well...
When a shot hits the crossbar, it is not considered a shot on goal because it still would not have gone in even if the gaolie was not there. The definition of a shot on goal is "any shot that would go into the net if the goaltender was not in position"
