The Stars are bringing in wing Mark Parrish on a one-year contract. He'll be here at about 5 p.m. today, and get a physical tomorrow morning. If all goes well, and co-GM Les Jackson said it should, Parrish will be with the Stars at tomorrow's practice in Frisco.
Parrish had 16 goals and 14 assists in 66 games with the Minnesota Wild last season, 19 goals and 20 assists in 76 games the season before that. The Stars need whatever help they can get right now with their depleted forward group, so this certainly should bolster a few things... including the power play.
"We really miss Lehts in that area, so he should help some of that," coach Dave Tippett said, referring to Jere Lehtinen's absence.
By the way, Lehtinen skated today and should be out there at tomorrow's practice. Sergei Zubov, Philippe Boucher and Brad Richards are also expected to practice.

Did the Stars have to give up anyone for Mark? You didn't mention. I have heard the name before.

He was a free agent.
Good signing b/c he's a natural right-winger, and that's something we've DESPERATELY needed.
