Loui Eriksson puts enough of a move on Coyotes defenseman Ed Jovanovski and got enough on the backhand to get it past Ilya Bryzgalov for a 1-0 Stars lead. That's Eriksson's team-leading seventh of the season.
The Stars spent a lot of time in the Coyotes' zone, which is a nice change of pace. I'm sure they would've loved to have gotten one on that double-minor to Olli Jokinen 30 seconds in, but at least they got something. Their passing could be a bit crisper, but they've got the dictation working right now.
