The story came out on NHL.com when I was in-flight, but Sean Avery's hearing with commissioner Gary Bettman is set for 10:30 a.m. (EST) on Thursday in New York. No timetable to when a decision will be reached after the hearing. Co-GM Brett Hull will apparently be accompanying Avery to New York (love to be a fly on the wall of that cabin).
I'll be checking in with brass a little bit later today, and I'm curious to see what they're thinking the day after this whole mess. Judging from most comments last night, I don't know how this guy could be welcomed back in any capacity, especially by players. Even Brett Hull sounded worn out by it all. And as I said, Les Jackson was miffed. I never see him ticked off to that degree.
Read what Mike Modano and Marty Turco said.

You summed it up perfectly.Comments from teammates, especially Marty, basically through Sean "under the bus"..I was hoping a potential positve after this situation would include a final "wake up"call for Sean and a meeting with teammates/management to give one more shot at constructively co-existing(I still feel talent wise he could be a major asset to this team.)..I don't think team leaders Morrow and Turco ever accepted him. Adding last night's quotes, further reinforces to me that his days as a Star are numbered....What a shame.

What's the matter with that. Sloppy seconds is better than nothing at all.
