Fabian Brunnstrom was out of this afternoon's practice with a lower-body injury (looked like he was wearing the ol' walking boot); he's listed as day to day. Now Mark Parrish was on the line with Steve Ott and Mike Ribeiro in Brunnstrom's place, and it sounds like Parrish will play tomorrow night against the San Jose Sharks.
Meanwhile, Marty Turco practiced with the team for about a half hour before heading out. But he went on 30 minutes before everyone else, getting some one-on-one work in with goaltending coach Andy Moog. Considering the opponent tomorrow night, I guess it's not a bad time to get a little side work in to prepare. Otherwise, the health is just fine with the boys; oh, and Joel Lundqvist was practicing again but was in the blue (I-have-no-linemates) jersey. I'm guessing he won't be ready for tomorrow night.
The lines, outside of the Parrish inclusion, were the same as the last two games.
Today's practice was a pretty physical one. The Stars were working on a few drills, including puck possession along the boards. Lot of pushing and shoving getting position and the puck. Hey, Dave Tippett said he wasn't too thrilled with the cleanliness of Saturday night's game, so he ran the Stars through the necessary drills today to make up for it.
Remember, folks, tomorrow night's game is an 8 p.m. start. Those of us with deadlines loooove the 8 p.m. start.
