I hate watching a team squander a long 5 on 3 opportunity (guessing Dave Tippett isn't too fond of it either), but that's what the Stars just did. They had 1:39 of 5 on 3 time against a Thrashers team that was scrambling.
Ah well... Marty Turco just made a great stop on Ilya Kovalchuk, who's been scoring at will lately.
By the way, nooobody is here this evening. The nasty weather outside wasn't going to help the attendance this evening, and I don't know how many folks were excited to come out to see the Thrashers (no offense meant, they just have no ties with the Stars, no former players, no longstanding rivalry, etc.)
