The Stars catch a break on this one, as Tomas Holmstrom is called for incidental contact with Marty Turco, nullifying what would've been the Red Wings' third goal of the second period. On replays, it looked like Trevor Daley gave a little bump to Holmstrom, who then chain-reacted into Turco.
It's no goal nonetheless, as the Stars breathe slightly easier again. But they still have 1:05 of a Wings penalty kill to nix at the start of the third period.
What an exciting second period, eh? A lot of talking (guess who's doing most of that), a lot of hitting on both sides, although it looks like the Wings have a pretty strong advantage there. Wow. But you knew the Wings were going to come back in the second. That team doesn't just give up and die. And it could get more interesting before the final 20 minutes are over.
