I caught most of this one on TV, and that power play reared its ugly head again. Can't go 0-for on the road, especially when you get the first three power-play attempts out of the gate. Someone has to get up front, cause a ruckus, deflect some pucks. In other words, someone has to do their best Brenden Morrow impersonation.
Yes, I realize Mr. Roloson was very good this evening. But still... five power plays, nothing to show for it.
It's all well and good to get 39 shots on a guy, but when there are no good rebound attempts, nobody getting what coach Dave Tippett called those "greasy ones around the net," you're going to have problems. And the Stars did.
I still think they should've gone with Tobias Stephan against the Oilers. I'd be stunned now if Marty Turco doesn't play tomorrow night against the Cancuks. And just like that the Stars are needing two points badly again.
