That's a loaded statement, considering how bad the first went. But I figured with two wheels already fallen off in the first that the other two would be gone about five minutes into the second. I was wrong. Great work from the Stars, who are getting a lot of shots on Chris Osgood. Not a lot of second chances, however, so need more traffic around him.
I'm sure Brad Richards is absolutely reeling at that shot that didn't go through, but great glove save by Osgood. But it's Osgood's high-sticking on Mike Ribeiro that's given the Stars four minutes of power play, 3:46 of which they'll pick up at the start of the third period. We all remember those two getting into it in Detroit in Game 5 last May, don't we? Osgood hitting Ribeiro with teh butt of his stick and Ribeiro swinging around with a shot to Osgood's chest.
Ah, I love nostalgia.
