Not a whole lot to report this morning from Joe Louis Arena, other than I'm still amazed at how great of shape Detroit defenseman Chris Chelios is in. I hope I'm that spry at 47. And I believe Henrik Zetterberg is out tonight with back issues. A bit of a break, for sure...
On the Stars' side, not much to report. Optional skate this morning, which was somewhat surprising. But they went full skate the last time, and we saw how that turned out. I think it's good to mix it up sometimes. It is just a friggin' morning skate, anyway. And Mark Parrish did not make the trip as of yet. He may fly up to Columbus tomorrow, but I'm wondering if that's really necessary for that one game. Fabian Brunnstrom will be goinging them there already, so they'll have enough bodies. Yes, I'm assuming Brunnstrom will play; may be incorrectly guessing there but we'll see. The first of his two games with the Manitoba Moose is tonight in Rockford, Ill.
