Another quiet day in Stars land; considering how drama-laden this team was the first three months, I don't mind the quiet days! Anyway, some little tidbits:
The Stars were going to do something with Stu Barnes tonight regarding his retirement, since his old team, the Sabres, are in town. Think they were going to give him a jersey from each team, something cute like that. But Barnes apparently didn't want anything special done for him. Typical Barnes, eh? Always thinking of everyone else. So I'll give a little applause to him this evening whether he likes it or not. The Stars and Sabres both had tremendous times with him, and he's deserving of accolades, even if he doesn't want the attention.
I asked Stephane Robidas about his jaw; it's doing just fine, braces are out, all good. As for that cage, he'll wear it for a little while longer. He said he'll re-evaluate how he's doing after the All-Star break and maybe he'll get back to the regular helmet then.
Fabian Brunnstrom isn't sure when he's skating again; he said he'll let the trainers decide when he's set. His enthusiasm to get out there again is tempered by the concern to avoid a setback on that ankle.

Go Stuuuuu. They could use his style of play on the team right now.
