Hello kids, and happy Sunday to you all,
As I sit here nibbling some jalapeno chocolate (if you haven't tried it, do so), I think about the Stars' current situation. Actually, my online column for this week will hit on it, too, but this is the abridged version:
The Stars are in the backs-against-wall position again, and they've done well with this in the past. Seriously, this team just loves the underdog role the past few years. My question is, do they have enough firepower, work ethic, health to get to the postseason? My concern is looking at recent games: Great against Vancouver, bad against Chicago twice, so-so against Columbus (credit much of that win to Marty). The Stars talk this "we're all on board" stuff, and most of the time I believe them. There are other times, however...
Now if the Stars get to the postseason, things change. Brenden Morrow is likely back (he could be in at the end of the regular season). Brad Richards will be back. Then it's all up in the air again, IMO.
But we're talking present moment. So that's my question to you all: Do the Stars have enough moxie to get to the playoffs?
