I was talking to Stu Barnes en route to the locker room, and on how big that victory was tonight for the Stars. They needed to get back on track after that tough one against the Coyotes, and this was the same type of game: Facing a tough team behind them in the standings, the Stars needed to get two points without giving any to their opponent.
And just like that, the Stars are No. 5 again. Said Steve Ott, "there's a belief and an accountability in our system and we're playing well together as a team."
And Marty Turco was pretty good. Sure, he got a few breaks (so did Jason LaBarbera, who also had a pretty good performance), but that's part of it. Some of those stops were fabulous.
