OK, kids
With the New York Rangers reclaiming Sean Avery on re-entry waivers this afternoon, the Avery-Dallas Stars saga is officially over (OK, for most of us it was over last December, but this is the official financial finale).
Anyway, let's go back to this past summer, shall we? The Stars had a few dollars to play with, and were looking to get a little stronger from the Western Conference Finals appearance. We all know what they did do. But, if it were you, what would you have done?
Would you have gone after a defenseman, like a Wade Redden? Maybe it makes the Sergei Zubov absence a little easier to take.
Would you have gone after a different winger? One with more of a scoring ability that an aggravating one?
Would you have kept Niklas Hagman?
I realize I'm asking this on the eve of the trade deadline, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Stars are quiet come tomorrow. So, let's visit the past instead for a moment... what are your hindsight thoughts?

Definitely would have kept Hagman...he was the peanut butter to Richard's jelly.
