Quiet morning skate. Not too much going on. Mark Parrish (head) skated, but is not expected to play. He had headaches this morning and he has a history of concussions, so expect them to be careful.
That said, keep an eye on Joel Lundqvist. The versatile forward has been in the doghouse lately for poor play and has been a healthy scratch for five straight games. Lundqvist has battled a shoulder injury all year, but he has a ton of talent and should be a regular in the NHL. He is 27, he is a UFA in the summer, and my guess is he's watching his term as a Dallas Stars player come to an end, so I think you will see a very motivated player tonight.
I'm not sure what line they'll play him on, but he'll be on the left wing, and I'll bet he'll be physical. Here's a scary number: So far in back-to-back situations this season, Carolina is 6-5-2 in the first game and 10-2-0 in the second. This, of course, is the second game of back-to-backs for the Hurricanes as they lost a 3-2 shootout game in Chicago last night. _Mike Heika
