Joe Pavelski received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for attempt to injure in a scrum around Marty Turco, so he is gone for the game.
I have not seen that on replays yet, but Pavelski has wanted to get Mike Ribeiro since their little battle earlier in the period and Ribeiro was in the scrum, as well.
Darryl Sydor took two minutes for roughing Pavelski.
Stars finished with 13-5 advantage in shots on goal.
It's a good start, but they have to get two points.
