The Stars had more golf in the morning and started practice at 3:30 p.m.
They skated practice, cleared the ice and then worked on power play and ended with some penalty shots. It was a good two hours.
They will not have a morning skate on Wednesday before the preseason game against the Texas Stars.
Lines are starting to take shape.
We'll see if Brunnstrom stays there or if Wandell will jump in.
In talking to people today about the Brunnstrom story, it appears there is a large amount support for keeping him on the team and possibly in the lineup. Marc Crawford still isn't giving out a lot of clues, but it appears that's how he feels.
He also seems to be trying Jeff Woywitka more on the last pair. Woywitka was out a lot with Matt Niskanen and that could be an indication that Mark Fistric could end up being a healthy scratch on opening night. Again, we'll have to wait and see.
As for Wednesday night's Bud Light Battle of the Stars, all Stars players will be in the lineup, but there will be a somewhat strange format with the goalies. Marty Turco and Alex Auld will play the first half of the game going against one another and Matt Climie and Brent Krahn will be in goal for the second half of the game going against one another. Crawford said this will be a full hitting exhibition game.
An interesting aside from the Texas Stars is that Jordie Benn, the older brother of Jamie Benn, has played in preseason games. He will probably end up with the Allen Americans.
The Texas Stars today sent Richard Bachman, Brad Miller and Brendan Milnamow to the Idaho Steelheads.
