Sorry, I fell behind there under intense Thanksgiving Day deadline pressure.
The Stars lose 4-3 in a shootout.
Valiant effort by Brenden Morrow and Brad Richards to get the game tied with 25.4 seconds in the third period. Richards shot, Mike Modano redirected and Morrow had it bounce off his hip while he battled in front of the net.
Morrow was then great in OT, but couldn't score. Richards scored to lead off the shootout, but Mike Ribeiro and Stephane Robidas were stopped, and Marty Turco allowed both Andy McDonald and Brad Boyes to score.
Dallas is now 1-5 in shootouts this year.
Good and bad from pretty much everyone. Richards had two assists, but looked like he was really struggling at times. Modano had two assists, but went 5-for-19 in the circle. The fourth line was great all night, until they let in the go-ahead goal. Turco had some moments of perfection in the third period, and then was weak in the shootout.
Marc Crawford said fatigue was a factor. He better hope that this team finds some energy, as it travels to Phoenix tomorrow for a Friday game and then is back home Saturday against Tampa Bay, and is back on the road for a game in Detroit on Monday.
So how did you view this?
