Fistric fined, not suspended

Mark Fistric had his meeting with the NHL today, and he received the maximum fine a player can receive ($2,500), but was not suspended for his match penalty in Wednesday's game for hitting Eric Nystrom on the head with his own helmet.

Fistric said it was an accident, and the NHL agreed.

Lots of guys get the day off today.

Jere Lehtinen skated and might play on Friday.

Alex Auld is expected to be in net against Colorado.

Tom Wandell is scheduled to have the surgery to repair his ACL on Tuesday.
