He's there so he can play during the Olympic Break, but he also could stay down if Steve Ott (appendectomy) and Mark Fistric (arthroscopic knee surgery) are ready to return after the Olympic Break.

Frisco, Tex. -- The Dallas Stars announced today that the NHL club has assigned left wing Francis Wathier to the Texas Stars - Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Wathier, 25, was recalled on Monday and appeared in all three games for Dallas on the week, going scoreless. He made his NHL debut earlier this season with Dallas and has dressed in five total games for the club in 2009-10, accruing five penalty minutes and four shots. He has spent the majority of this season with the Texas Stars, where he has played in 50 games, recording 23 points (11g, 12a) and 76 PIM. The 6-4, 208-pound left wing was Dallas' sixth round selection (185th overall) at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
