Joe Nieuwendyk was on a conference call this morning and confirmed the conditions of the draft pick that will go to the New Jersey Devils for Jamie Langenbrunner.
The conditional third round pick will become the Stars second round pick in 2011 if: Dallas wins one round of the playoffs or they sign Jamie Langenbrunner before July 1. If they sign him after July 1, the Stars send
their second round pick to the Devils for the Devils' third round pick.
The guess here is that either will happen, as Nieuwendyk said they are looking at Langenbrunner as a player who would help bridge the gap between now and the incoming push of right wing prospects: Scott Glennie, Tomas
Vincour and Alex Chiasson. So for planning purposes, you can say the trade today was probably for the Stars' 2011 second round pick.

Hey Star Telegram-How about you hire another Stars beat writer. I can't stand the DMN, but I have to go there if I want today's news. I'm just sayin'.
