Adam Burish (leg) and Karlis Skrastins (thigh) will travel with the Stars to start their four-game West Coast road trip, but neither is expected to play Tuesday at Phoenix.
Meanshwhile, Nicklas Grossman (knee) and Brian Sutherby (back) will not be with the team and will rehab in Frisco.
Here's Stars coach Marc Crawford on Burish and Skrastins:
"I doubt that either will be ready to play tomorrow, but the fact that they are traveling with us is a positive sign. Grossman is not in a position to travel yet. We think he gets a lot better treatment being back here, and the same
goes for Sutherby. From the standpoint of who's closest, I would say both Burish and Skrastins are possibilities on this road trip''
The Stars will play at San Jose Thursday, at Los Angeles Saturday and at Anaheim Sunday, and either Skrastins or Burish could be available to return in one of those games.
As for the players who are available, the Stars also are trying to keep them as healthy and energized as possible.
Brenden Morrow and Jamie Benn (whose tanks looked a little empty on Saturday) each stayed off the ice today and rested, while Brad Richards and Loui Eriksson were the last two players on the ice and tried to work some things
out through practice.
``You want to do everything you can to be sure you're ready at this time of the year, and Loui and I are both trying to do that,'' said Richards, wo has been struggling to find his ``A'' game since his return from concussion-like
symptoms. ``Right from the coaching staff to the leaders to the young guys, you want to keep your head up and stay positive and really bring a good attitude to the rink every day. If you don't, it's an awful feeling and it'll snowball and you just don't play
Kari Lehtonen in goal on Tuesday.
