The Rangers placed left-handed reliever Bill White on waivers today, making room on the 40-man roster for either Kazuo Fukumori or the anticipated addition of Eddie Guardado, depending on which deal is finalized first. Fukumori agreed to two-year, $3 million deal last month. That deal, as well as one for Guardado, are expected to be completed in the coming days.
White pitched in only nine games last season, going 2-0 with a 4.82 ERA in 9 1/3 innings. The Rangers are interested in signing him to a minor-league deal.
